Do not trust the name. Happy Game is a psychedelic horror adventure that is anything but happy.

From the twisted minds at Amanita Design—the creators of Machinarium and Samorost—comes a departure from their usual charming style. This is a nightmare simulator. You play as a little boy who falls asleep to a terrifying dreamscape. Your goal is to wake him up, but to do that, you must survive three distinct nightmares fueled by disturbing imagery, flashing lights, and ear-piercing screams.

This is a game about trauma, fear, and the grotesque, wrapped in a deceptively colorful package.

A Psychedelic Nightmare

• Deceptive Visuals: The world is filled with smiley faces, cute bunnies, and vibrant colors. But look closer. The smiles are too wide, the bunnies are bleeding, and the colors are blinding. The art style shifts seamlessly from “childlike drawing” to “visceral gore.”

• Unsettling Puzzles: Solve logic puzzles that require a twisted sense of humor. You won’t just be finding keys; you will be pulling heads off dolls, feeding deadly treats to monsters, and navigating through flesh and blood to progress.

• The Happy Crew: Meet the “friendly” inhabitants of your dreams. They want to play. They want to hug you. They want to kill you. Avoid the Smiley gang and the pink abominations that stalk you through the levels.

Sensory Overload

• Audio Terror: The sound design is a crucial part of the horror. Created by the Czech band DVA, the soundtrack is a mix of eerie lullabies, distorted screams, and wet, squelching sound effects that will make your skin crawl.
