Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3: Welcome to the Island of Insanity

This was supposed to be paradise. A tropical island getaway. But that dream became a nightmare when you and your friends were taken captive by pirates. Now you are Jason Brody, a man stranded on a lawless island, hunted by one of the most terrifying and unforgettable villains in gaming history: Vaas Montenegro.

Far beyond the limits of civilization, you are trapped in a place where violence and madness are the only law. This is more than a fight for survival; it’s a dark journey into the heart of insanity. To save your friends, you must become the very monster you’re hunting.

Have I Ever Told You the Definition of Insanity?

Far Cry 3 is a first-person shooter unlike any other, set in a massive, stunningly beautiful, and completely hostile open world. Here, the story and the action are one and the same. As you fight your way across the island, you’ll be forced to question your own morality and sanity.

An Open World of Danger and Discovery

The Rook Islands are your playground and your prison. This sprawling tropical environment is filled with secrets to find, outposts to conquer, and predators to hunt.

• Fight on Your Terms: Choose your approach. Go in guns-blazing with a massive arsenal of weapons, or use stealth, your bow, and your knife to pick off enemies one by one.
• Liberate the Island: Reclaim the island for its people. Free enemy-controlled outposts to turn them into safe houses, unlock new missions, and reveal more of the map.
• Hunt to Survive: The jungle is alive and it is deadly. Hunt everything from sharks and tigers to cassowaries and komodo dragons. Use their hides to craft powerful upgrades for your gear, holsters, and ammo pouches.
