Tactical Card-Based Combat

Leave the dice at home. Gloomhaven rewards strategy, not luck.

• The Dual-Card System: Every turn, you must choose two cards from your hand. You will use the top half of one card (usually an attack) and the bottom half of the other (usually movement). This unique mechanic forces you to make difficult trade-offs every single round.

• Resource Management: Your cards are your life. If you run out of cards, you become exhausted and retreat from the dungeon. Every turn brings you closer to exhaustion, turning every scenario into a tense race against time.

• No RNG: Combat is deterministic. Damage is modified by a deck of cards that you can upgrade and manipulate, minimizing random chance and maximizing tactical planning.

A World of Mercenaries

• 17 Unique Classes: Start with the Starting Six (like the Brute, Scoundrel, and Cragheart) and unlock 11 more diverse classes as you progress. Each class plays completely differently, with its own deck, perks, and role.

• Retirement System: Mercenaries don’t fight forever. In the Campaign, your characters have personal life goals. Once achieved, they retire, unlocking new content, new classes, and powerful perks for your future characters.
